Workout: About 3 miles
Pace: Moderate
Had to squeeze in a quick run after work today before I had some other things to do. Â I decided to leave the Garmin at home…I know, I felt naked without it. Â Actually, now that I think about it, I didn’t feel naked at all. Â It’s nice to go untethered sometimes, to run just for the sake of running, not worrying about going too fast or too slow or what the distance is. Â Just run till you don’t feel like running anymore, and run at whatever pace makes you feel good. Â So that’s what I did. Â And today was the first day all week that the sun was out, so it felt really good to be out there. Â Looking forward to tomorrow’s long run with Team in Training and some friends…will be running by the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
My girlfriend and I got to talking about fundraising tonight, and how we’re both struggling a little with it. Â I don’t know if it’s because the economy is bad, or people are just not interested in giving, but it has just seemed (or at least this time around) much tougher to get donations. Â Today a potential sponsor told me they had their money committed elsewhere…very disappointing. Â And if I can’t find a sponsor for the baseball game I’m going to have to cancel it. Â Would be majorly disappointing. Â So who wants to cheer me up and make a donation?
Well, that’s it for today. Â Until next time…
