Workout: 4 miles, slow alert set at 8:45
Actual: 4 miles – 32:58 – Â 7:45, 7:58, 8:06, 9:06
And…he’s back. Â After last weeks less than consistent workouts, I needed to start this week off with a bang. Â So I set my Garmin to yell at me should I go slower than 8:45, and I was on my way. Â Firt mile went well, probably would have been a little faster had I not hit traffic at the light. Â Watch yelled at me as I was going up the first hill. Â As I continued on the second mile, the watch yelled at my again as I ran up another hill or two. Â Then mile 3…got yelled at several times…and it was getting hotter and hotter. Â Not gonna lie, I stopped after 3 miles for a brief stop. Â It was hot, and I was thirsty. Â I walked another 2-3 times the last mile. Â It was just too hot…and I was too thirsty. Â I was very happy to be done…but still happy that I had a decent work out.
After stretching out, I made a quick change and headed off to the pool. Â THAT was nice. Â Heading to the pool here is like heading to a pool on vacation…gotta walk a little bit to get there, throw your stuff down on a chair, and walk on in to the built-in coolness. Â Hung out for a little while, then headed back to the apartment. Â Good workout and cooldown overall.
So hopefully the rest of the week goes as well as today did. Â But we shall see. Â My goal for tonight is to start up the 100 pushup and 200 situp challenge again. Â Wish me luck. Â Until next time…
