Workout: 4.5 Miles
Time: 37:20
Weather: Hot and Humid
So today was another hot and humid day. Â So I said to myself, where should I go running? Â Well, I don’t want to run on roads, because I wanna make sure I don’t hurt my leg again. Â And I don’t want to run at the park at North Brunswick, because the wind on the back mile of the loop is just brutal. Â So what do I decide on? Â Oh yes, the hot and humid, jungle like Tow Path, that’s what. Â I love sweating profusely. Â Ha.
So yeah, did 4.5. Â I had to stop at .2 because my Garmin for some reason had set itself to bike mode, so it wasn’t showing the normal info that it normally shows. Â All fixed, I took off. Â First 2.5 miles were pretty good, around a 7:55 pace. Â The last 2, well, a little slower…like an 8:40 pace. Â But…the Garmin shows what your fastest pace was each mile. Â That’s where the good stuff comes in…I had 4 of the 5 splits with a “best” pace of under 7 minutes. Â The best was a 5:24 during the first mile. Â That’s because people were out there so I ran faster to make it look like I was hardcore. Â Ha!
Anyway, all in all it was a good workout. Â Lookin to get another 2-3 in before the long run this Sunday. Â Should be easy enough to do, especially with 5K I’m running on Saturday.
Well, that’s it for now. Â I am exhausted. Â Until next time…
